Gone are the days in which an office tower’s lobby was merely the path to the elevator, or a residential high-rise’s amenities were solely utilities and a doorman. Contemporary real-estate developments are often mixed-use properties with live‐work‐play features that offer community, convenience, and services. They blend dynamic productivity, recreational and social spaces, underscored by a hospitality and wellness mindset, and the most current technology.

The integration of the architectural form of the building with thoughtful, well curated interiors can be critical in driving the success of a lifestyle building. This session will explore strategies for building upon the assets of tall buildings, such as open volume spaces, dramatic curtain walls and panoramic views, to create compelling interior environments. Drawing on principles of placemaking and context-driven design, unique and authentic spaces can be cultivated that inspire connection, interaction and memorable experiences.
