Note: Registration fees are required to be paid in US Dollars (USD) to the CTBUH Headquarters in Chicago, USA. All payments must be in US Dollars at the rates portrayed, irrespective of daily exchange rate fluctuations.

 

Registration Notes

  1. The Core Congress will take place over two days (Tuesday 29 & Wednesday, 30 October) in the Radisson Blu Aqua Chicago. Registration includes access to all tracks / sessions + 2 lunches + 6 coffee breaks + digital copy of all abstracts and every presentation given at the Congress + a hard copy of the Abstracts book + hard copy of the conference-themed CTBUH Journal + Congress bag + sponsor materials.
  2. The Day 1 Technical Workshops will take place in the Radisson Blu Aqua in Chicago (i.e. the core Congress venue) on the afternoon of Monday, 28 October (thus a half day in duration). There will be nine such workshops, each focused on a distinct theme, with delegates choosing to attend one out of the nine. Delegates can register to attend a Workshop only as stand-alone, or as an add-on program to the core Congress.
  3. There will be a stand-alone Symposium on Day 4 of the Congress (Thursday, 31 October), taking place off-site. Registration includes one lunch and three coffee breaks that day. Delegates can register to attend the Symposium as stand-alone, or as an add-on program to the core Congress. Please note that it is not possible to attend both the Symposium and the Off-Site Programs around Chicago, since these events occur at the same time.
  4. There will be several Off-Site Programs taking place in seminal tall buildings and urban spaces around Chicago on Day 4 of the Congress (Thursday, 31 October). Delegates will choose one morning program and a different afternoon program, as part of their registration. Delegates can register to attend Off-Site Programs as stand-alone or as an add-on program to the core Congress. Please note that it is not possible to attend the Off-Site Programs and a Symposium, since these events occur at the same time.
  5. Days 5 & 6 of the Congress will see two Regional City Programs happening in other cities in the Americas (New York and Toronto) taking place on Friday, 1 November and the morning of Saturday, 2 November. Delegates can register for only one of these 1.5 day programs. Delegates needs to arrange their own travel and accommodation in those cities. The Regional City Programs will embrace a number of specific sessions, building tours and social events. Delegates can register to attend Regional City Programs as stand-alone, or as an add-on program to the core Congress.
  6. The Opening VIP Reception will take place at Willis Tower on the evening of the first day of the conference, Monday, 28 October. Registrations for this event are only open to those registered for the 2-day Core Chicago Congress.
  7. Sponsors are free to organize their own social networking events on the second evening of the conference, Tuesday, 29 October, in venues across Chicago. These events may be open or closed invite based on the sponsor’s discretion. Details will be posted online once determined. Attendance for these events is only open to those directly invited by the relevant sponsor.
  8. The prestigious Congress dinner will take place on the evening of Wednesday, 30 October, at the Radisson Blu Aqua Chicago. Dress code is black tie attire. Registrations for this event are only open to those registered for the 2-day Core Chicago Congress, except guests invited to sponsored Dinner Tables, who are not required to be registered for the Core Congress, but their information is needed for name badges and the dinner seating plan.
  9. The subsidized Presenter/CTBUH Leader Registration is intended for presenters notified of abstract acceptance or panel discussion involvement, and for CTBUH Leaders only. For each accepted presentation, only one presenter is entitled to the reduced registration rate. These subsidized registrations are not transferable to other colleagues.
  10. Payments: Registration payments are required to be paid in US Dollars (USD), at the exchange rate at time of payment, irrespective of daily fluctuations. Registrations are not confirmed until payment is received. If a payment is not received within 24 hours of registration, the registration may be canceled. A 3% fee will be charged for all credit card payments; a US$20 bank fee will be charged for all wire transfers.
  11. Cancellation Policy: A 100% refund, minus a US$100 administrative fee (per delegate) will be given if written notice of cancellation is received by 21 August 2019. A 50% refund will be given after 21 August 2019. No refund will be given for cancellation after 4 September 2019 due to costs incurred by CTBUH. No refunds will be given for those who register at an incorrect rate. No refunds will be given for those who do not attend the Congress. If you cannot attend the Congress we are happy to accept a substitute colleague without penalty if notified by 25 September 2019. No substitutions are allowed after 25 September 2019. All refunds will be handled after the conference.
  12. Reimbursement Policy: If a delegate wishes to change his/her booking a US$30 administration and bank fee (per delegate) will be subtracted from any change/reimbursement. No refund will be given for cancellation after 4 September 2019 due to costs incurred by CTBUH.
