A highlight of every architecture tour of Chicago, the Wrigley Building is one of the most iconic tall buildings in the city. Completed in 1922, its gleaming white terra-cotta façade and clock tower are worldwide emblems of Chicago’s architectural significance. Its south tower and north addition frame a pedestrian gateway that has been cherished by Chicagoans for generations. The interiors, however, are private offices and rarely seen by the public. During its near-century of existence, substantial renovations have taken place, but always with Wrigley’s integrity in mind. The lobbies of the south tower and north addition, connecting bridge, amenities floor, and a spectacular 18th-floor office space, occupied by a leading Chicago architecture firm, are all stellar examples of the care that has gone into this legendary property, preparing it for its next century.
