The redevelopment of the Chicago River Corridor was undertaken with the goals of creating a new greenway through the city’s urban core, maximizing public access to the amenity, restoring natural habitats along the river, and generating compatible economic development. In all regards, the success of this project will define the collective experience of Chicago far into the future. This off-site program overviews the project from the perspective of the urban planners, designers, and developers spearheading the initiative. Following presentations, attendees will navigate the Chicago River via boat tour, witnessing these developments from the river itself.
