A global city and America’s skyscraper construction capital, New York City promises and always delivers dynamism and excitement. The city is experiencing a building boom that is practically unprecedented since the first days of skyscraper construction at the turn of the last century. Established tall building zones such as the south edge of Central Park are gaining new, astoundingly slim and luxurious residential towers; the lower Manhattan financial district is burgeoning with new and renovated towers, commercial and residential alike; and formerly far-flung districts such as Downtown Brooklyn, Long Island City and Hudson Yards are sprouting new, transit-oriented tall developments at a previously unseen scale and pace.

The CTBUH 10th World Congress Regional City Program in New York City featured two days of action-packed itineraries, including building tours, presentations, and a reception where the Emerging Leaders of New York Awards, presented by the CTBUH New York Future Leaders Committee, were bestowed.
